Monthly Work Requirement

Each member of the co-op is required to contribute a minimum of five hours each month towards the work involved with operation of the co-op.  Tasks that need to be accomplished include the everyday variety, such as taking minutes at and facilitating meetings of the board of directors, keeping the co-op’s financial books, mowing the lawn, shoveling snow, weeding flowerbeds, changing furnace filters, helping on larger maintenance projects (such as replacing a porch), etc.

This monthly contribution of work hours helps ensure that Ridge Side Co-op is able to continue to keep its monthly carrying charges low enough to meet its mission to provide affordable housing on Willy Street.
